Tom Holland, the British actor best known for playing Spider-Man, has offered confirmation that he and co-star Zendaya have already got married.

The wedding of the couple, who have been together for some years and got engaged in December 2024, has been the subject of intense speculation, further fuelled by a red carpet remark by Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, in March 2026, that the ceremony had already taken place.

“The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” he told Access Hollywood, while Zendaya – discussing her troubled engagement film The Drama – issued a non-denial on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Speaking to Esquire about a series of AI-generated wedding photos which were circulated soon afterwards and liked by 10m Instagram accounts, Holland said his grandmother was briefly offended as she thought she hadn’t been invited.

Asked whether he had to send out messages to any other family members, Holland pauses and replies: “No, because they were all there.” The actor then shuts down a followup question by saying, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”

Holland did however elaborate on the couple’s bond, saying: “Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time.

“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.

“So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”

The new Spider-Man film, Brand New Day, is released at the end of July and is believed to be the first in a new trilogy starring Holland. He and Zendaya met when she auditioned for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

“Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her,” he told Esquire. “She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room. I remember when she closed the door to leave, [producer] Amy Pascal was immediately like, ‘Well, she’s getting the job.’”
